TTU: Reportedly, the construction work of the Tirupati Balaji Temple in Jammu has almost reached the final phase. This temple, which is located in Majeen’s picturesque Shivalik forests, was constructed on a 62-acre plot of land for about INR 30 crore. This grand temple is all set to open for pilgrims on June 8, after completion of all necessary preparations. The union territory’s religious and pilgrimage tourism is anticipated to increase as the temple grows to become one of the greatest in the Jammu region.

The Jammu temple will be the sixth Balaji temple constructed outside of Andhra Pradesh, with Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) having previously built temples in Hyderabad, Chennai, Kanyakumari, Delhi, and Bhubaneswar. Speaking on the matter, TTD Chairman YV Subba Reddy stated that construction of the temple is almost completed and that it will be thrown open for devotees from June 8. Additionally, he informed that the rituals at the temple were started on June 3.

Subba Reddy further stated that the technique and practise used in Tirumala will also be used in the temple he was inspecting in Jammu. It is worth noting that this temple falls on the route between Jammu and Katra, where the Vaishno Devi Temple is located.

This project of building Balaji temples across the country is part of a broader initiative by TTD. According to reports, the TTD is constructing Balaji temples in various cities throughout the country, including in places where those who are unable to visit the Tirupati Balaji Temple in Andhra Pradesh can visit.

In conclusion, the Tirupati Balaji Temple in Jammu is a much-awaited upcoming temple that is expected to attract a large number of devotees and pilgrims. With its strategic location on the route between Jammu and Katra, and the implementation of the same system and practice as the renowned Tirumala temple, it is likely to gain much popularity. The establishment of Balaji temples across India will also enable many to experience the divinity of Lord Venkateswara without having to travel to Andhra Pradesh.
