Jaipur Airport Terminal 1 Opens for International Flights on Oct 27
TTU: Rajasthan’s Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma has inaugurated Jaipur Airport Terminal 1 on October 26. International flights will begin from this terminal at midnight on October 27. The airport will now operate with two distinct terminals: Terminal 1 for international flights and Terminal 2 for domestic ones.
Operations at Jaipur Airport Terminal 1
All international flights will shift to Terminal 1 from October 27. This separation aims to manage traffic better and offer smoother operations. Passenger numbers at Jaipur Airport have been rising by 7% annually, making this change essential for future growth.
Passenger Facilities at Terminal 1
An airport official stated that reopening Terminal 1 will increase capacity and improve services. The new terminal blends modern features with Rajasthan’s cultural heritage. It can now handle 1.5 million passengers per year.
The immigration area has 10 counters for departures and 14 for arrivals to ensure quick processing. Security at the terminal will be managed by 100 personnel, including CISF and airport security teams.
First Flight from Terminal 1
The first flight to land at Terminal 1 will be an Etihad Airways flight from Abu Dhabi. It will arrive at 2:10 am on October 27. This flight will mark the terminal’s official reopening for international operations.
